The Red Hackled Pipe Band was formed officially in August 2010, when we played the first time in Edinburgh, Scotland beneath the Scots Monument and since then the band has been taking part in different engagements and also in various Military Tattoos both locally and abroad. e.g in Switzerland, Sankt Gallen 2014 and Germany,Berlin 2015 and will perform again at the Berlin Tattoo 2016.
The Red Hackled Pipe Band does also perform in private functions such as weddings, local feasts, ceremonies and other events. We also support charities by playing during such events. This year we also had the initiative to organize a fund raising parade with the help of a special guest, World Champion Drum Major Billy Jordan of Scottish Power.
In the years to follow, the band's aim is to keep its' successful high level standard and by also teaching new members of any age with great discipline and dedication. We are extremely grateful for the support we receive wherever we play and remain motivated as ever for the band's future.
